Euro-Fuchsia
In 1984, some European fuchsia societies joined together under the name of Euro-Fuchsia. The association developed into a platform for
information exchange and co-operation for European fuchsia societies and institutes.
The purpose of Euro-Fuchsia is for
•
closer co-operation between the European fuchsia societies and
•
the promotion of fuchsia cultivation and education.
At its last meeting in September 2011 in Bonn, Germany, the delegations decided to modernize Euro-Fuchsia and adept it to modern
communication and requirements.
The main aims of the new constitution are
•
to open Euro-Fuchsia also for smaller groups, internet groups and interested individuals
•
to concentrate the effords of fuchsia research
•
to use the internet as a platform for information exchange between the members instead of print media
Today Euro-Fuchsia is open for all societies, groups and individuals from Europe and elsewhere interested in fuchsias. It is the platform for
information exchange and the co-ordination of fuchsia research and promotion. It supports also those fuchsia friends and collectors which are
interested in the conservation of fuchsias.
